Shared Branching
Our members are the most important part of SWACU. Because of that, we have joined the CO-OP shared branching network to provide our members with over 5,000 shared branching locations coast-to-coast.
If you're not close to one of the four SWACU Branches and need to make a transaction, these locations will take care of you as if you were their own!
As of September 1, 2023, you must know your account number when visiting a shared branch. Those branches will not be able to look up your account number for you.
- Use member credit unions nationwide as if you were at your home branch
- Over 5,000 compatible branches

Now introducing IDCheck
If you bank at one of our Shared Branch locations, a teller can now identify and authenticate members with out-of-state IDs in the branch using a QR code and one-time passcode multi-factor authentication verification. This additional layer of authentication will be used for loan payments, cashier’s checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers and account inquiries.
It’s secure, simple and quick! Simply scan the QR code located in the branch or visit verify.coop.org to get started.
What is IDCheck
IDCheck helps protect members by authenticating their identity via their smart devices when accessing their account at a Shared Branch location. IDCheck asks members to share a photo of their ID and a selfie. It then uses advanced graph-defined logic, artificial intelligence and biometric data to verify the ID and the member in real time.
