Daniel J. Kimber Scholarship Program
The Daniel J. Kimber Scholarship Program has been established in memory of Daniel Jarrod Kimber, a valued employee of Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union. This scholarship is to provide high school senior students with a portion of the funds needed to attend college. Scholarships will be awarded based on high school academic achievement, school/community involvement and submission of an essay.
Three scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 each to graduates who plan to continue their education at an accredited college, junior college or university no later than the Fall 2025 semester.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Application must be submitted and received by Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union (SWACU) on or before March 31, 2025 at 5:00 pm CST.
- Send an official copy of your transcript to be postmarked on or before March 25, 2025. Official transcripts must be certified by a high school official and remain unopened in order to be considered.
- Do not include a picture, reference letters or resume.

Requirements
- Applicant must be a SWACU member and be the primary member on the Membership Savings account.
- Account must have a minimum balance of $5 and be in good standing.
- Applicant must be a graduating high school senior (graduation dates May or June 2025).
- Applicant must complete the entire Daniel J. Kimber Scholarship application.
- Submit an essay explaining: What are your financial success strategies as a student?
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Illegible entries and incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applications will not be returned and will become the property of SWACU.
- SWACU employees, volunteers and their families are not eligible.
- Scholarships may be used for tuition at an accredited college, junior college or university.
- The winning entries will be chosen at the discretion of the SWACU Scholarship Committee.
- The 3 recipients will be notified on or before June 1, 2025, by mail, e-mail or phone.
- Recipients will be required to:
- Sign a Photo Release Waiver
- Submit a high-resolution photo (preferably a senior photo).
- Provide information for their university/college's Financial Aid Office.
